Ecologically, economically and socially: SPK wants to become more sustainable at all levels. What does that mean in concrete terms? Why is it necessary? And how can it be achieved?

Not least the devastating flood disasters, forest fires covering enormous areas or increasing water shortages made it abundantly clear that man-made climate change is taking hold. Numerous international and national cultural institutions have set out in recent years to make their contribution to climate protection.

Recently, SPK staff members have also established various initiatives to determine and improve the Foundation's climate footprint. A Foundation-wide task force has developed the vision of an SPK that acts in an ecologically, socially and economically sustainable manner. The first goal of this process is to achieve climate neutrality for the SPK before 2035.
