Cultural Heritage
TopicProtecting its collections is a herculean task for the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz (Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, SPK) – not least because according to UNESCO, the objects are part of our cultural heritage and “their destruction would be an irreplaceable loss for all of mankind.” Cultural heritage is always part of identity, so the issue is how to go about preserving heritage and ensuring that society in general maintains an interest in it.
